What we share, and what we never share
We run adverts, so we measure which ones lead to a sale. This page says exactly what that involves.
What we share with advertising platforms
- A one-way hash of your email address, so the platform can tell that somebody who saw an advert later bought something. The address itself never leaves us.
- The advertising platform’s own click identifier and browser cookie, which it set and can already read.
- Your IP address and browser user agent.
- Three facts about what happened: that a tool was completed, that an email was given, and that a purchase was made — the last with the amount we charged.
What we never share with advertising or analytics platforms
- Your score, or any figure derived from your answers.
- Any estimate of what your own advertising is costing you.
- Your website, your advertising account, or your keywords.
- Anything you type into a form.
- Your email address in a form anybody could read.
These are facts about your business. They are what you came here for, and they are not marketing signal.
How we email you, and where your details are kept
We send email through Brevo. When you ask for your breakdown on one of our free tools, we email it to you, and Brevo keeps your email address, the first name and phone number if you gave them, your website, which tool you used and your headline figure, so we can follow up. It does not receive your answers or the rest of your breakdown.
When you buy an audit, we email you to confirm it, to deliver the report and, if we are late, to tell you so. Brevo keeps your email address, your first name if you gave one, which audit you bought and when. What you told us about your site or your advertising account goes only to the people doing your audit, in an email to our team sent through the same service. It is never stored on your contact in Brevo, and never in an email to anyone else.
When we check your site
When you enter a website on the AI visibility scorecard, we look at a few of its public pages, once, as a visitor would: its robots.txt, its homepage, its sitemap, and one contact page if the homepage links to it. We identify ourselves when we do.
We keep what we found, not the pages: which search and AI crawlers your robots.txt allows, how many words your homepage shows without running scripts, whether your contact details are readable as text, and how recently your sitemap says the site changed. We never keep the text, the address, the phone number or the email we read there. If you leave your email, those findings are stored with your score; if you do not, they are not stored at all.
What our own analytics sees
Which step of a tool you reached and which you finished, and whether the result came out clean, scored, or without enough information to score. A category, never a number. This is how we find out which question people give up on.
Your choice
We share a hashed version of your email address, and the advertising platform's own cookies, so that we can tell which adverts led to a sale. We never share your score, your domain, your advertising account or anything you type into a form.
